Claudia: I inherited two block prints done by a young Jewish-American artist who emigrated to Israel in the late 1960s or 1970s and was killed in service after he joined the Israeli army. I cannot fully read his signature, the name David is clear and the last name begins with an "E" and may well be Erez. He has a strongly left-slanted handwriting. There was a retrospective of his work in a SoHo gallery. The color landscape is titled "Land Scape" 1973 and bears the proof "E/A." On the back it has a label of "Media Galleries Limited 3172." The black and white print is titled "Jerusalem" with a proof of "3/3 E/A." On the back it has a label of "Media Galleries Limited 3232." There is also writing in Hebrew that I cannot read. Could you please tell me if you know the artist's name and if you can sell these two prints for me? Thank you.
